Position Summary
The Enumerator will play a
key role in supporting FH Rwanda’s monitoring, evaluation, research, and
learning (MERL) activities by collecting accurate, high-quality quantitative
and qualitative data. The role requires integrity, attention to detail, and
strong professionalism to ensure data that informs evidence-based decision-making
across FH projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect
reliable quantitative and qualitative data using approved digital or
paper-based tools.
- Participate
fully in training sessions and field pre-tests prior to data collection.
- Conduct
household and community interviews in line with ethical and professional
standards.
- Work
closely with FH Rwanda area program teams and supervisors to reach target
communities and stakeholders.
- Verify
data completeness and accuracy before submission.
- Report
challenges or observations from the field to improve data collection
processes.
- Adhere
to all FH Rwanda policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Collaborate
effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Maintain
strict confidentiality and integrity of all collected data.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness,
Veterinary Medicine, Education, Social Sciences, Statistics,
Rural/Community Development, Economics, or Public Health.
- At least one year of experience in data
collection or surveys related to Agriculture, Education, Health &
Nutrition, Economics, Rural Development, Business Administration, or Water
& Sanitation within a nonprofit or government institution.
- Familiarity with digital data collection tools such
as ODK or Kobo Toolbox, and the ability to use tablets or
smartphones.
- Willingness
and ability to travel extensively and independently to remote rural
areas.
- Physically
fit to work long days in challenging field conditions, including hilly
terrain.
- Strong
interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven
ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust with respondents.
- Fluency
in Kinyarwanda and English is required.
- Commitment
to FH’s Christian values and code of conduct.
Work Conditions
- Working
Hours: 8 hours per day
- Experience:
Minimum 12 months
- Level
of Education: Bachelor’s degree
