Call for Applications: Energy Efficiency and Green Technologies Dual Training Program

Rwanda Polytechnic – Kigali College, in a strategic partnership with Bildungswerk der Baden-Württembergischen Wirtschaft e.V. (BIWE) and supported by the Partner Rwanda II Project (BMZ/Sequa funded), is pleased to invite applications for a specialized dual training program focused on energy efficiency and green energy technologies.

This program is designed to provide participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical industry experience, preparing them for a dynamic career in the green energy sector.

Program Overview

Key Learning Areas & Competencies

Upon completion, participants will be proficient in the following areas:

1. Conducting comprehensive energy audits and implementing advanced energy-saving technologies.
2. Designing, installing, maintaining, and integrating grid-connected solar energy systems.
3. Implementing sustainable Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) solutions.
4. Applying principles of energy policy, project financing, and behavioral change strategies to

Program Title: Energy Efficiency Dual Training Program

1. Duration: 4 months, structured as follows:
2. Months of intensive classroom instruction.1
3. Months of hands-on industry internship.
4. Intake: Cohort 1
5. Commencement Date: November 3, 2025
6. Promote sustainability.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Nationality: Must be a Rwandan citizen.
2. Education: Hold a minimum of a secondary school certificate (from TVET or general education).
3. Language: Demonstrate proficiency in English.
4. Assessment: Be willing to sit for and pass an entrance examination.

2. Required Documents: Applicants are required to submit a single PDF file containing their Curriculum Vitae (CV), a copy of their National ID, and academic transcripts, along with a recent passport-sized photograph.
3. Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to participate in an entrance test.
4. Application Deadline: The final date for submission of applications is October 15, 2025.
