Switzerland–Rwanda Cooperation Scholarships 2026–2027
The Higher Education Council (HEC) of Rwanda has officially announced an exciting academic opportunity for Rwandan scholars. Through the Switzerland–Rwanda Cooperation program, the Swiss Government is offering a limited number of scholarships for the 2026–2027 academic year. These scholarships are aimed at advancing higher research and strengthening academic ties between Rwanda and Switzerland.
What the Scholarships Cover
The
Swiss scholarships are available for:
Research
Fellowships
PhD
Studies (3 years)
Postdoctoral
Studies (1 year)
Please
note: Undergraduate and Master’s programs are not included in
this offer for East African students. Additionally, fields in Fine Arts are excluded.
Eligibility
Requirements
To
qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be 35 years old or younger (except for postdoctoral
applicants, who have no age restriction).
Hold
the required academic qualifications for Research, PhD, or Postdoctoral
studies.
Be
ready to pursue studies at a recognized Swiss university.
