Learning and Development Officer Position at COPEDU PLC
COPEDU PLC, a financial institution
licensed by the National Bank of Rwanda, is seeking a
Learning
and Development Officer to join its
Human Capital Department in Kigali. The officer will report to the Senior Human
Capital and Development Officer and will be responsible for executing training
and development programs that align with the company's strategic goals.
Key
Responsibilities
The
primary responsibilities for this role include:
- Designing,
implementing, and managing staff development programs.
- Conducting
training needs assessments to identify skill gaps.
- Developing
and managing in-house training or coordinating with external providers.
- Facilitating
training sessions on topics such as leadership, communication, compliance,
and customer service.
- Designing
and delivering onboarding programs for new hires, including a dedicated
consumer protection module.
- Coordinating
training initiatives for interns and management trainees.
- Providing
on-the-job training for new employees.
- Maintaining
training materials and records to ensure compliance with internal and
regulatory requirements.
- Evaluating
training effectiveness and supporting line managers in developing
individual development plans (IDPs).
- Staying
informed on new learning technologies and best practices.
- Fostering
a positive learning culture.
- Performing
other assigned learning and development duties.
Required
Qualifications and Skills
To
be considered for this position, you must have:

A bachelor's degree in Human Resource
Management, Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, Project
Management, or a related field.
·
A minimum of two years of progressive
experience in coaching and training program development.
·
Experience in a banking environment is an
advantage.
·
Strong communication, organizational, planning,
analytical, and problem-solving skills.
·
Experience in HR, learning and development, and
an understanding of institutional strategy.
·
High integrity and strong ethical standards.
