1. A2-Level Field Assistants (160 Positions)

These roles are the backbone of the physical planting activities, demanding community engagement and meticulous execution.

Position Details and Location

  1. Role Title: A2-Level Field Assistants
  2. Total Positions: 160 positions required.
  3. Distribution: This translates to 4 Assistants required per cell.
  4. Location: Ngororero and Rutsiro Districts.

Core Responsibilities

The Field Assistants will be responsible for the logistical and physical aspects of the tree planting:

  1. Assisting in the entire process of seedling distribution.
  2. Executing the hands-on tree planting activities.
  3. Supporting the necessary daily reporting of planting progress.

Candidate Qualifications

The ideal candidates will possess strong ties to the local community and a foundational education:

  1. Education: A minimum of A2 education level (secondary school) is required.
  2. Residency: Candidates must be residing in or near the target cell where the work is taking place.
  3. Advantageous Experience: Prior experience in community or environmental activities is considered a significant asset.

Duration and Compensation

  1. Duration: The engagement is short-term, running From Mid-November to the end of December 2025.
  2. Daily Allowance: The rate is 5,000 RWF per day.
  3. Allowance Breakdown: This daily amount is allocated as 1,000 RWF for refreshment and 4,000 RWF for transport.
  4. Payment Schedule: Payment will be made after every 15 working days.

2. A0-Level Field Technicians (80 Positions)

These supervisory roles require a higher level of technical knowledge and strong coordination skills to ensure project quality and accurate data management.

Position Details and Location

  1. Role Title: A0-Level Field Technicians
  2. Total Positions: 80 positions required.
  3. Location: Ngororero and Rutsiro Districts.
  4. Core Responsibilities

Field Technicians will manage the technical quality, logistics, and reporting of the planting activities:

  1. Supporting the overall coordination of tree planting activities across their assigned area.
  2. Crucially, managing the planting registry to ensure the collection of accurate field data.
  3. Utilizing the MIS system for field data collection and accurate reporting.
  4. Providing daily technical guidance and oversight to the Field Assistants.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates must have a degree in a relevant field and demonstrated professional skills:

  1. Education: A Bachelor's degree (A0) is mandatory in fields such as Environmental Studies, Forestry, Agriculture, or a related discipline.
  1. Experience: Prior experience in similar responsibilities is highly preferred.
  1. Skills: Demonstrated strong field coordination and reporting skills are essential.
