organization founded in 2016. It established the Trust Mountain Academy, a
Nursery and Primary School, in 2017. The organization's aim is to provide

Job Summary
The School Accountant plays a key role
in managing the school's financial affairs. This position is responsible for
ensuring all money coming into and going out of the school is properly
recorded, managed, and reported. The accountant helps keep the school's
finances organized, transparent, and accountable, ensuring resources are used
efficiently to support education.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1.
Financial Record Keeping & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including fees, salaries, grants, and purchases.
- Prepare and
update ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
- Prepare monthly,
quarterly, and annual financial reports.
2.
Budget, Payments, and Payroll
- Assist the school administration in preparing the annual budget.
- Monitor income
and expenditure to ensure spending stays within the budget.
- Collect school
fees and issue receipts.
- Deposit money
into the school's account.
- Manage petty
cash and make authorized payments.
- Prepare and
process salaries for teachers and staff.
- Handle statutory
deductions such as taxes, pension, and insurance.
3.
Financial Strategy, Audit & Compliance
- Advise school management on cost-saving measures and financial planning.
- Help make
informed decisions regarding financial investments and projects.
- Ensure all
financial practices comply with APPES regulations.
- Assist the APPES
Audit Committee during financial audits.
4.
Organizational & Administrative Duties
- Act as a participating member of APPES Shyorongi.
- Participate in
all Parents-Teacher meetings.
- Participate
actively in the APPES education week.
- Always behave in
an exemplary manner, acting as a role model for society.
- Maintain all
furniture and equipment within the classroom in good order.
- Perform other
extra duties as required by the School Principal.
Qualifications and Skills
Candidates
must meet one of the following educational requirements:
- Must have a Diploma in Accounting with an A2 Certificate in Accounting.
- OR must have an A2
Certificate in Accounting with 2 years of studies in a recognized
university.
Additionally,
candidates should have:
- Experience: Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping is highly preferred. Experience in an educational institution is a significant advantage.
- Skills: Ability to
communicate in English and possess professional IT skills.
