Job Vacancy Announcement: Site Based Extension Agents (SBEA)

The Gakenke District Administration, located in the Northern Province of the Republic of Rwanda , is pleased to announce a job vacancy for the position of Site Based Extension Agents (SBEA).

This opportunity is for positions at the FOBASI (Food Basket Sites) located in the following Sectors (Imirenge): Kamubuga, Kivuruga, Mugunga/Rusasa, Busengo, Muzo, Nemba, and Muyongwe.

 

Key Requirements for Applicants

To be eligible for the position of Site Based Extension Agent (SBEA), applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Be a Rwandan national.
2. Possess a spirit of volunteering.
3. Be at least eighteen (18) years old but not older than sixty (60) years old.
4. Be of good morals and conduct.
5. Have never been sentenced to a non-suspended prison term of six (6) months or more.
6. Have an educational background in Agriculture, with at least an Advanced Secondary School Diploma (A2) in Agriculture.
7. Be proficient in using a computer (the document states "Machine," which typically means computer/machine proficiency in this context).
8. Having a higher-level diploma is an added advantage.
9. Must reside in the Sector where the FOBASI site is located.
10. Be ready to start work immediately.

 

Application Submission Details

The application file (Dossier) must include the following documents:

1. A job application letter addressed to the Mayor of Gakenke District.
2. A photocopy of the academic qualification (diploma/certificate) certified by a Notary.
3. A photocopy of the National ID (Indangamuntu).
4. A Certificate of Good Morals and Conduct provided by the Sector administration.

Applicants who meet the requirements should submit their application files to the General Secretariat of the respective aforementioned Sectors.
