Hec loan results is out


 

1. Check Eligibility

  1. Be a Rwandan national.
  2. Be admitted to an accredited higher learning institution (public or private, local or abroad depending on the program).
  3. Meet academic performance requirements set by HEC.
  4. Belong to a category that qualifies for government loans/scholarships (based on Ubudehe, disability status, or other government criteria).

2. Prepare Required Documents

You will typically need:

  1. National ID (scanned copy).

  2. Admission letter from the university.

  3. Recent academic transcripts (S6 results or university results if continuing).

  4. Proof of Ubudehe category (from local authorities).

  5. Birth certificate.

  6. Passport (if studying abroad).

  7. Any additional documents requested in the loan call announcement.

3. Create an Account on HEC MIS

  1. Go to 👉 hec.gov.rw.

  2. Find the “Student Loan Application” or HEC MIS (Management Information System) link.

  3. Register by creating an account with your personal details.

  4. Verify your account using your email/phone number.

4. Fill in the Loan Application Form

  1. Log in to your account.

  2. Complete the online form with your personal, family, and academic details.

  3. Select the university/program you are admitted to.

  4. Indicate whether you need tuition loan, living allowance, or both.

  5. Upload scanned copies of all required documents.

5. Submit the Application

  1. Double-check all information before submission.

  2. Submit the form online before the deadline stated in the HEC loan call.

  3. Print a copy of the completed application form for reference.

6. Follow-up & Verification

  1. HEC will review your application.

  2. They may cross-check with your school, NIDA, and local government records.

  3. If necessary, you may be asked to provide additional information or corrections.

7. Results & Loan Agreement

  1. HEC publishes the list of selected loan beneficiaries on their website.

  2. If selected, you must sign a loan contract with the Government of Rwanda.

  3. The loan is then disbursed directly to your university (for tuition) and/or to your account (for living allowance, if applicable).

Tip: HEC announces loan application calls once per year, usually around July–September, aligned with the academic calendar. Always check their website and official social media for updated deadlines.
